Anyone who takes part in sport should be informed about vital nutrients, because the more intense the training and competing, the greater the need for additional nutrients, up to 4 or 5 times greater.

 

Performance enhancing with nutrients

Athletes who have a vital nutrient deficiency cannot reach their full potential, need longer for regeneration and are injured significantly more frequently. Unfortunately these facts are little known in the sport world. 

 

Sport and minerals, nutrients and vitamins

I have known many athletes who are only concerned with calories and the replenishment of minerals. That is insufficient. Various vitamins and minerals such as iron, magnesium, amino acids, antioxidants, omega-3 fatty acids and trace elements are all vital to achieving peak performance. The training programme and nutrient intake must be carefully planned and balanced.
